Prudence Celtigar

A daughter of Lord Edwell Celtigar of Claw Isle, born in 34 or 35 AC, sister to Prunella and to a brother. In 47 AC her father urged King Maegor I Targaryen to wed her or her sister; the king declined them and married the Black Brides instead. In 49 AC Edwell pressed the same offer on the Hand, Lord Rogar Baratheon, and Queen Regent Alyssa Velaryon, for King Jaehaerys I; Rogar, who scorned that the sisters had "no chins, no teats, and no sense", rebuffed it. Prudence served as a lady companion to Queen Alysanne Targaryen on Dragonstone and disrobed the king at his and Alysanne's second wedding. At Maidenpool she was stabbed through the shoulder shielding the queen from septas of Jonquil's Pool who sought to kill the child Alysanne carried. Her betrothal to Lord Grafton was arranged in 52 AC, and she became the Lady of Gulltown. She is mentioned in Fire & Blood and The Sons of the Dragon.
