Marq Piper

Ser Marq Piper is the eldest son of Lord Clement Piper and heir to Pinkmaiden Castle, a hotheaded young knight and a close friend of Ser Edmure Tully. At the outbreak of the War of the Five Kings he was dispatched with Ser Karyl Vance and Ser Raymun Darry to King's Landing to carry word of Ser Gregor Clegane's raids and seek the aid of King Robert I Baratheon, presenting their evidence to the Hand, Lord Eddard Stark, instead. He later joined Karyl Vance in harrying the Lannister supply train during the siege of Riverrun, helping to lure Ser Jaime Lannister away so the Battle of the Whispering Wood could be fought. Marq was among those who launched Lord Hoster Tully's funeral boat down the river. He attended the wedding of Edmure Tully and Roslin Frey at the Twins and took part in the bedding, only to be captured when the feast became the Red Wedding; he was thereafter kept a hostage of House Frey at the Twins, to the despair of his father.
