Leobald Tallhart

Leobald Tallhart, a man with pale blue eyes, was the younger brother of Ser Helman Tallhart and castellan of Torrhen's Square. He wed Berena Hornwood, sister of Lord Halys Hornwood, by whom he had two sons, Brandon and Beren. In A Clash of Kings he came to Winterfell for the harvest feast, told the tale of his nephew Benfred and the Wild Hares, and pressed the Hornwood succession, proposing that his son Beren be adopted as Lady Donella Hornwood's heir and take the Hornwood name. It was Leobald who dispatched Benfred against the ironborn on the Stony Shore. When Dagmer Cleftjaw besieged Torrhen's Square, Leobald was within; after Ser Rodrik Cassel lifted the siege he joined his strength to Rodrik's for the march on Winterfell, and was slain there in 299 AC when the Dreadfort's garrison fell upon the northern host, his body presented to Theon Greyjoy as a gift by Ramsay Snow.
