Beren Tallhart

Beren Tallhart is the second son of Leobald Tallhart, castellan of Torrhen's Square, and Berena Hornwood. Because his mother was a Hornwood, his father proposed in A Clash of Kings, after the deaths of Lord Halys Hornwood and his son Daryn, that Lady Donella Hornwood adopt Beren as her heir, with the boy taking the Hornwood name and claim. The scheme came to nothing. In A Feast for Crows Beren is held captive at Torrhen's Square by the ironmen, alongside his mother Berena and brother Brandon.
