Anders Yronwood

Anders Yronwood is the Lord of Yronwood and head of House Yronwood, holding the styles the Bloodroyal and Warden of the Stone Way as the most powerful lord in Dorne after the ruling Martells. The son of Lord Ormond Yronwood, he fostered Prince Quentyn Martell as his ward in repayment of the blood debt born of his grandfather Edgar's death, and Quentyn chose to be knighted by Anders rather than by his own uncle Oberyn. Princess Arianne Martell feared and accused Anders of plotting to set her brother Quentyn above her in the succession, naming him Criston Cole reborn, though Prince Doran judged him loyal. At Doran's command Anders feasted Ser Balon Swann of the Kingsguard at Yronwood for a fortnight to delay him, and in The Winds of Winter he musters a Dornish host in the Boneway, drawing men from House Toland. He has a son and heir, Cletus, and two daughters, Ynys and Gwyneth.
