Lady Sharis Footly was Lady of Tumbleton by her marriage to Lord Footly during the Dance of the Dragons; her maiden house is not recorded. After the First Battle of Tumbleton in 130 AC, Ser Jon Roxton became enamored of her and claimed her as a 'prize of war,' slaying her husband when he protested. Some six months after the Second Battle of Tumbleton she bore a dark-haired boy whom she proclaimed her late husband's trueborn heir, though it was far more likely that Roxton had sired him. Ruling as regent in the boy's name, she became famous for restoring the shattered town — rebuilding its walls, burying the dead, replanting the fields, and displaying the cleaned heads of the dragons Seasmoke and Vermithor in the town square. After the death of Queen Jaehaera Targaryen in 133 AC, she went so bold as to nominate herself as the second wife of King Aegon III Targaryen.
