Samantha Stokeworth, daughter of Lord Alyn Stokeworth, was a big, boisterous woman who liked to boast she had never been sick a day in her life. Brought to court by her father, she became a favorite and close companion of Princess Rhaena Targaryen, daughter of Aenys I. She came to Fair Isle at the start of 49 AC for Rhaena's wedding to Androw Farman and lodged with the princess at Faircastle, where she, Rhaena, Alayne Royce, and Elissa Farman grew nigh inseparable and often rode the dragon Dreamfyre together—earning from Ser Franklyn Farman the name the Four-Headed Beast. She followed Rhaena from Fair Isle to Casterly Rock and afterward to Dragonstone. Samantha died at the end of 54 AC, thought at first to have taken ill; it was later learned she had been poisoned by Androw Farman, who was jealous of Rhaena's ladies and stung by their mockery. She is mentioned in Fire & Blood and The Rise of the Dragon.
