Manly Stokeworth, a sibling of Lady Tanda Stokeworth, once led the gold cloaks as Commander of the City Watch of King's Landing. After his death, Lord Jon Arryn, Hand of the King to Robert I Baratheon, named Janos Slynt—then captain of the Iron Gate—as the new commander in his stead. Whether Manly perished in the Sack of King's Landing during Robert's Rebellion or later in Robert's reign is unknown. He is mentioned in A Dance with Dragons.
