Jonah Mooton

Jonah Mooton was heir to and later Lord of Maidenpool during the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen. In 82 AC he, Red Roy Connington, and Braxton Beesbury became the three male favorites of Princess Saera Targaryen, the six of them inseparable at feast and hunt and once sailing across Blackwater Bay to Dragonstone. In 84 AC the young men were found drunk at the Blue Pearl, a King's Landing brothel, and when the resulting scandal exposed Saera's coercion of her companions, Jonah was imprisoned a night in the dungeons. Saera confessed she had bedded all three favorites, each believing himself the first; the furious king arranged a hasty marriage between Jonah and Saera's companion Lady Perianne Moore, telling him he might play a part in her redemption as he had in her ruin. The match proved a success, and the two later ruled together as Lord and Lady of Maidenpool, the king charging them to watch for Saera should she return after fleeing her punishment in Oldtown.
