Alan Beesbury was Lord of Honeyholt and head of House Beesbury during the Dance of the Dragons, heir at the war's start to his grandfather Lord Lyman Beesbury. Believing his grandsire to be languishing in the black cells rather than dead, he loudly called for his release, and fought for Queen Rhaenyra and the blacks. With Lord Alan Tarly—the pair remembered as the Two Alans—he harassed the host of Lord Ormund Hightower after it marched from Oldtown, and together with Lord Owen Costayne and a second black army under Lord Thaddeus Rowan and Tom Flowers they trapped the greens along the banks of the Honeywine. Hightower's lines were crumbling toward defeat when Prince Daeron Targaryen descended upon his dragon Tessarion and turned the Battle on the Honeywine; both Alans were captured afterward, as told in Fire & Blood.
