House Rhysling is a minor house of the Reach, sworn to House Tyrell of Highgarden. Neither their words nor the fuller particulars of their history have found their way into any widely known account, though the Citadel's own heraldic rolls record their arms: an oaken door banded with iron, set in a grey stone doorway, upon a field of black masonry.
The only Rhysling remembered by the wider chronicles is Ser Robyn Rhysling, a one-eyed knight who rode in the tourney at Ashford Meadow in 209 AC during the reign of Daeron II Targaryen. There he was unhorsed by Lord Leo Tyrell after four tilts, yet during the trial of seven that followed he stood among Ser Duncan the Tall's champions, unhorsing Prince Daeron Targaryen himself and crossing swords with a knight of the Kingsguard.
