Lyonel Corbray

Lyonel Corbray is the Lord of Heart's Home and head of his house during the events of A Song of Ice and Fire, the eldest of three brothers born to the Lord Corbray who was wounded at the Battle of the Trident. He resented that his father, upon dying, bequeathed the ancestral Valyrian steel longsword Lady Forlorn not to him but to his younger brother Lyn, feeling himself cheated of his birthright. His first wife bore him only a sickly child that died in infancy, leaving the quarrelsome Ser Lyn his heir. Content enough with Petyr Baelish's rule of the Vale, Lyonel declined to join the Lords Declarant; in return Baelish brokered for him a second marriage to the sixteen-year-old daughter of a rich Gulltown merchant, whose enormous dowry came with the prospect of a long-desired heir, for the new wife is with child.
