Jeyne Poole (Arya Stark)

Jeyne Poole, daughter of the Winterfell steward Vayon Poole, was the best friend of Sansa Stark and a tormentor of Arya Stark, whom she mocked as "Arya Horseface." An attractive girl with dark hair and brown eyes, she traveled south with her father in Lord Eddard Stark's retinue and lodged with Sansa in the Tower of the Hand. During the Hand's tourney she declared she would marry Lord Beric Dondarrion. After Vayon was killed in the massacre of Eddard's household, Jeyne was spared when Sandor Clegane broke down her door, and Lord Petyr Baelish took her into his keeping and had her trained as a whore. The Lannisters later delivered her to House Bolton, where she was wed to Ramsay Bolton in the guise of "Arya Stark," a deception that helped rouse the northern mountain clans and stir Stannis Baratheon to march on Winterfell. Theon Greyjoy freed her from the castle, and after her rescue Stannis sent her on toward the Wall under the escort of Ser Justin Massey to be reunited with her supposed brother Jon Snow.
