Ser Archibald Yronwood, called Arch and the Big Man, is a knight of House Yronwood and nephew to Lord Anders Yronwood, cousin to the lord's children. He stands six-and-a-half feet tall, broad of shoulder and huge of belly, with legs like tree trunks, hands the size of hams, and a bald head, lost to a childhood malady, that others liken to a stone; he wields a spiked warhammer and is a better fighter than either Quentyn Martell or Gerris Drinkwater. Together with his cousin Ser Cletus he joined Prince Quentyn's mission to wed Daenerys Targaryen, and after Cletus was slain by corsairs he, Quentyn, and Gerris took service with the sellsword company the Windblown, where he earned the name Greenguts, joining the siege of Astapor before being sent on to Meereen. When Quentyn was mortally burned attempting to tame the dragon Rhaegal, Archibald was imprisoned, then dispatched by Ser Barristan Selmy as an envoy to the Tattered Prince. He appears in A Dance with Dragons.
