The great warhammer of Robert Baratheon was a weapon few other men could have lifted, let alone swung — a massive spiked head crowned in the antlered fashion of his house, set on a long haft. Robert wielded it as though it weighed nothing, and in his youth it made him the terror of the battlefield.
With this hammer he struck the blow that ended a dynasty. At the Battle of the Trident he caved in the breastplate and the breast of Prince Rhaegar Targaryen, scattering the rubies from the prince's armour into the river and winning the throne for House Baratheon. After Robert's death the hammer hangs among the trophies of his reign.
