House Brownhill of Cape Wrath

House Brownhill is a minor house of landed knights on Cape Wrath in the stormlands, sworn to House Baratheon of Storm's End. Its seat has never impressed the chroniclers; one account of the time describes Ser Walter Brownhill's castle as little more than mud and tree roots. Distinct from the extinct Dornish house of the same name, no coat of arms or words have been recorded for this Brownhill either.

Ser Walter Brownhill, head of the house in 136 AC, outlived three wives and fathered sixteen children, thirteen still living by that year. His fourth wife was Lady Cassandra Baratheon, wed to him after she was found guilty of conspiring to poison King Aegon III Targaryen and Queen Daenaera Velaryon, a scandal that shadowed the end of the Regency. No Brownhill of Cape Wrath is known to have appeared in the events of A Song of Ice and Fire.
