Lord Gormon Peake, called Gormy by Daemon II Blackfyre, was the head of House Peake and Lord of Starpike, and in his youth held also the castles of Dunstonbury and Whitegrove before they were stripped from his house. Counted one of the finest knights of his generation, he stood among Daemon I Blackfyre's firmest supporters in the First Blackfyre Rebellion, and the losses he suffered in that defeat left him grown blind to reason in his hunger to recover his lost seats. Years after, during the reign of King Aerys I, he prevailed upon Daemon II Blackfyre to cross the narrow sea and press a claim to the Iron Throne, scheming that the display of a dragon's egg at the wedding tourney of Lord Butterwell at Whitewalls would draw the great houses of the realm to the Black Dragon's banner. Lord Brynden Rivers, the King's Hand, had known of the plot from its first stirrings and descended upon Whitewalls to besiege the castle; when it fell and Daemon was taken, Gormon Peake was among the conspirators put to death for treason in 211 AC.
