Erich I Greyiron (Erich the Ugly)

Erich I Greyiron, called Erich the Ugly, was the son of King Urras Greyiron, the first High King of the Iron Islands since the Grey King. After his father's death Erich seized the driftwood crown and declared himself High King, but the priest Galon Whitestaff, though half-blind and feeble, arose in a fury and named him an unlawful king, for he had not been chosen at a kingsmoot. Galon called the captains and kings of the ironborn to Old Wyk, where Erich was unmade and condemned to death; he escaped that fate only by casting the crown into the sea in submission to the Drowned God. He was succeeded by Regnar Drumm.
