Eldon Estermont

A querulous old lord of House Estermont, some seventy years of age, who held Greenstone through the War of the Five Kings. At the war's onset Ser Eldon declared for Renly Baratheon, and after Renly's death the Estermonts went over to Stannis Baratheon, in whose cause Eldon fought at the Blackwater; after the rout there he bent the knee and was among the Estermonts who swore fealty to King Joffrey. As Lord of Greenstone in A Feast for Crows, he was given Sylva Santagar to wife as her punishment for conspiring with Princess Arianne Martell — a match the imprisoned Arianne, ignorant that it had already been made, feared her own father might force upon her. The accounts of his kin disagree: the histories name him uncle to Stannis in one telling and great-uncle in another, father in both to Aemon and Lomas Estermont.
